National Ministries hosted directors of Christian centers--part of the Neighborhood Action Program (NAP)--at a conference at the American Baptist Churches USA Mission Center in Valley Forge, Pa., September 14-18, coordinated by the Rev. Aundreia Alexander, NAP Coordinator.
The 22 participants from across the country broke bread together in celebration of the consecration of new directors, toured the Mission Center and heard a presentation about time management and organizational management. A morning workshop featured Dr. Kirk Byron Jones, Judson Press author of Rest in the Storm, who helped these servants of God consider the place of self-care and Sabbath-taking in their lives.
National Ministries staff members Executive Director Dr. Aidsand F. Wright-Riggins III and the Rev. Lisa Harris, acting coordinator of Children’s Ministries, offered words of gratitude, encouragement and support.
Through 17 Christian centers, National Ministries’ Neighborhood Action Program transforms lives and communities across the country by providing job training, counseling, and services that meet basic needs for food, clothing and shelter.
Support the work of these Christian centers today.
