At National Ministries, Intercultural Ministries works to move beyond a multicultural reality, which is usually understood as a representative culture.

God calls us, instead, to embrace an intercultural reality, or a mission that truly seeks to unify all peoples. We understand the importance of respecting the integrity and uniqueness of all groups of people; yet, at the same time, we know we need to push forward toward a deeper understanding of what happens at deeper interpersonal levels in groups, teams and congregations when two or more cultures interact by engaging in mission.

In that way, our work is transformational. We seek to develop partners and leaders in the work of transforming individuals and communities through renewed thinking about ethnic groups and cultures. National Ministries' Intercultural Ministries is building bridges of understanding for engaging in effective mission and transforming society.
