Ways to Help with Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Partnerships Approach merchants and vendors to negotiate partnerships in providing supplies and support for Katrina survivors. Partner with an evacuated family to provide financial, emotional and spiritual support for a designated, predetermined time. Provide a support network for "sponsoring" families in congregations or regions to assure they are financially, emotionally and spiritually supported. Partner with churches in your region or elsewhere who are receiving evacuees or otherwise assisting in relief efforts. Encourage partnerships with other American Baptist regions and other American Baptist USA ministries in ongoing relief efforts.
