David Laubach
Since 1995, David Laubach has led American Baptist Home Mission Societies' program ministry teams in the areas of evangelism, new church planting, and congregational transformation. He also assumed leadership for discipleship ministries in 2005.

In June 2007, Laubach began a new role: directing Strategic Missional Relationships and strengthening relationships between American Baptist Home Mission Societies and key partners such as American Baptist regions, the Ministers Council, and American Baptist colleges and seminaries, in order to strengthen and enhance shared ministries.

"We want to discover more opportunities for sharing—and multiplying—home mission," Laubach said of his new position. "We also want to 'connect the dots' between American Baptist Home Mission Societies and our partners for our mutual benefit, especially given today’s economic realities."

Laubach continues his involvement with American Baptist Home Mission Societies' missional work, such as the NEW LIFE 2010 emphasis, seeking to build on the value of relationships for ministry and to connect in creative ways with new and traditional partners. He also continues to provide oversight to Alaska Ministries. He continues his service as the Board of American Baptist Home Mission Societies' representative to Green Lake Conference Center, as well as his work with the American Baptist Association of Seminary Administrators, the American Baptist Association of Colleges and Universities, and the Baptist World Alliance’s Evangelism and Education executive committee.

"In relationship to God through Christ, every day brings new beginnings, new creativity for each of us," says Laubach, noting that he draws inspiration from the Apostle Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 5:17: "So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!"

He is married to Candace Laubach, has two adult children and four grandchildren. He is a member of the Upper Merion Baptist Church.
