Deep Roots and
Flexible Branches:
Christian Discipleship
in the 21st Century
Discipleship begins with the deeply personal
acceptance of the gift of eternal life that is offered to
us through Calvary. But it grows and is most fully
expressed when practiced beyond our personal borders.
Public practice of discipleship makes it incarnational
and transformational. Practicing discipleship under the
guidance of the Holy Spirit gives us the power to boldly
proclaim the gospel through words and to live it by
actively and courageously loving and caring for others.
